What’s Been Cookin'? Quite a lot!

A quick little Garden Truck update from behind the scenes…

First off: thank you. Truly.

Since Chicago, things have been moving fasssst in the very best way. We’ve spent the past several weeks deep in conversations, outreach, and meetings with people from all over the place, all centered around one very spicy topic: pepperoni. And honestly? The response has blown us away. There’s been a lot of excitement around what we’re building, which still feels a little surreal considering this whole thing started with a simple goal: make a plant-based pepperoni that actually performs like pepperoni should. Crisps. Cups. Sizzles. Tastes great. Doesn’t fall apart emotionally under heat. You know, the essentials.

We’re incredibly grateful for every person who’s reached out, sampled the product, shared feedback, connected us with someone, or believed in what we’re building. It means more than you know.

Now for a small behind-the-scenes tease…

We’re currently exploring a few exciting opportunities and collaborations that have us feeling very energized about what’s ahead for Garden Truck Foods. We’ve been having some incredibly thoughtful conversations with people who genuinely understand where food is headed and what it takes to build products that work in real kitchens (and who love pepperoni as much as we do!). Very excited. And more on that soon.

In the meantime, we’ve also been quietly working on something else that’s very close to our hearts: Our very first cookbook.

And when we say cookbook, we mean cookbook cookbook. Over 100 recipes pulled from years of cooking. Some recipes are rooted in comfort-food classics. Others reflect years of experimentation, collaboration, and refinement across cafes, events, and professional kitchens. Every dish in the book is something we’ve genuinely loved making and serving to people over the years.

Right now, we’re focused on bringing the collection together for print, revisiting years of recipes, stories, and photographs from the road, the cafe, and countless events along the way. It’s been a pretty special process so far, and we can’t wait to finally share it with you this Fall.

We’ll be sharing more details as we get closer to launch. Until then, thank you for being here and cheering us on while we build all of this. It’s been a wild, rewarding ride so far, and we’re genuinely excited for what’s ahead.
